Jericho Rosales is getting ready for his TV reunion with Kristine Hermosa
After starring in the Metro Manila Film Fest Viva Films entry Baler and
a role in I Love Betty La Fea, Jericho Rosales is now preparing for his
next project, Ikaw Lamang, a drama series where he will be reunited
with former on-and-off screen sweetheart Kristine Hermosa and rumored
new ladylove Karylle. To prepare for his role as a pearl diver from
Palawan
sports. “Now I’m just boxing to build up yung resistensiya ko for my role
and to keep fit. I try to box at least once or twice a week. And then I
like running. I also do push-ups at home. I haven’t been going to the
gym because it doesn’t really excite me to lift weights. I don’t want to discourage others from doing that kasi every person has his own favorite workout, but I’m different,” he says.
The 29-year-old actor says that he still makes time to enjoy his first love, surfing. “I reserve my energy for surfing and skateboarding. That’s part of my schedule. My managers really take care of that and church, surfing, and family are all scheduled. I’ve got to have one surf trip a month. So I box, surf, and those things trims me talaga. More than looking good, I want to be healthy internally rin ‘di ba? It’s important to be physically healthy so my managers help me keep that time protected with cut-offs and they take care of me,” he adds.
The former Hunks member also says that he always make time to pray. The singer-actor says that praying keeps him grounded and humble. “I pray that I do not let fame get into my system. I think it’s all because I pray. I don’t want to say I’m religious. It’s not about being religious, I think I have this relationship with Jesus Christ and God and I always pray that he gives me the right characters and the right attitude,” he explains.
Echo says that it is also important for him not to have any enemies so he can always have peace of mind. “I think I just have this alarm system in my body that tells me if something is wrong, it just goes off. Alam mo, I check myself if I need to apologize for something. My conscience will tell me talaga to do it, that I need to go and say sorry and fix things. Or I else won’t be able to sleep. So I’d go and humble myself. I pray for humility. I pray for respect. Those are my main things. Humility, appreciation and respect. So that helps me a lot,” he says.
